Acceptable Use Policy
About This Policy
This policy outlines what is and is not allowed when using Field Assembly products. It applies to all users of Rafter, Vellum, TakeHome, and the fieldassembly.net website. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy is designed to protect Field Assembly, our products, and all users from harmful, illegal, or unethical conduct. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data that do not belong to you
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our services
- Use our services to distribute spam, malware, or phishing content
- Generate fraudulent documents (bids, proposals, invoices) intended to deceive
3. Content Restrictions
You are responsible for all content you create, upload, or store using our products. Content must not:
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Contain material that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful
- Include personal data of third parties without their consent
- Violate any applicable privacy or data protection laws
4. System and Network Integrity
You may not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization
- Circumvent any security or access controls
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access our services without our prior written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our software
- Introduce viruses, worms, or other malicious code
- Deliberately overload our infrastructure through excessive automated requests
5. Commercial Restrictions
Without our prior written consent, you may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to our products
- White-label or rebrand our services for use by third parties
- Use our products to build a competing service or to benchmark our services for competitive purposes
- Use our products on behalf of a third party in exchange for compensation without a valid reseller agreement
- Systematically extract or aggregate data from our services for commercial purposes
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take action at our discretion. Actions may include:
- Issuing a warning
- Temporarily suspending access
- Permanently terminating your account
- Removing content that violates this policy
- Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement
Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to address the concern. Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate termination without notice.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of conduct that violates this policy, please report it to hello@fieldassembly.net. We review all reports and take appropriate action. Reports can be submitted anonymously.
